Meet The Team

Founder (a bit of everything)

Alex Lee

I founded Outdoor Ascent in March 2022 to share my passion and hopefully get more people outdoors and try to better people’s lives. Since I started this, I have focused my outdoor career on climbing and mountaineering… That is now where the focus of Outdoor Ascent is.

A bit about me: Based out of the Peak District, Mountaineering isn’t something we have a lot of, even though it’s my favourite sport. However, I can hone all my rope work and use most of my gear in the peaks as training for the mountains. I get to the mountains on average 2-7 days every month.

As for my accomplishments in the; I have climbed up to E2 Trad, f7a lead, IV in Scotland and AD+ in the Alps. Along with this, I have had successful ascents in the Alps, most notably an unguided climb of the Hornli Ridge on the Matterhorn.
