Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is a stunning natural wonder, known for its stunning mountains and amazing views. Just as popular but less spoken about, are Welsh waterfalls. There are some amazing waterfalls in Snowdonia to add to your itinerary if you’re visiting.

Swallow Falls

Located in the village of Betws-y-Coed, Swallow Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Snowdonia. It’s an amazing sight, with the Afon Llugwy River cascading down over a series of rock ledges. The waterfall is easily accessible via a short walk from the village, and there are plenty of opportunities to take some stunning photographs for the gram.

Conwy Falls

Conwy Falls is located in the heart of Snowdonia and is one of the area’s most picturesque waterfalls. The River Conwy tumbles down over a series of rocks, creating an amazing waterfall. There are several walking trails around the falls, including a challenging hike to the top of the falls that offers amazing views of the waterfall from above and the surrounding countryside.

Aber Falls

Aber Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Snowdonia and is located in the village of Abergwyngregyn (have fun trying to pronounce this one). The falls are around 120ft high and are fed by the Afon Goch River. There are several walking trails around the falls, including a scenic circular route that takes in the surrounding countryside.

Pistyll Rhaeadr

Located just out of Snowdonia National Park, but we just have to include it being one of Wales’ tallest waterfalls.

Pistyll Rhaeadr in Wales stands at 240ft high. It’s an amazing sight, with water cascading down a sheer rock face into a pool below. There’s also a car park nearby, meaning only a short walk is needed to the viewing area. Making it fairly accessible.

Rhaeadr Ddu

Rhaeadr Ddu is a lesser-known waterfall in Snowdonia but is no less impressive than the others on this list. The waterfall is around 50ft high and is located in a remote part of the park. The walk to the falls is challenging, but the reward is well worth it, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Conclusion

Whether you are a veteran hiker or someone looking for amazing scenery while in Wales. All the waterfalls in this list are bound to meet your waterfall cravings. We hope you have an amazing time exploring Snowdonia (Eryri) and hope this guide has helped.
